MEHROON
Musical Theatre
“Amitesh Grover’s Mehroon is a poignant tale of desire and freedom” - The Hindustan Times
“Festival’s standout performance Mehroon blurs reality and fantasy with song and performance.” — The Indian Express
MEHROON is a musical tale of insatiable desire and unrelenting longing. A grieving woman, with only wet earth in her hands, begins to rebuild her world — summoning love, loss, fantasy, and forgotten curses through the power of creation. Woven with song and driven by a chorus of actor-singers, the play blurs the lines between reality and dream, offering a poignant, sensual, and deeply theatrical meditation on the mysteries of the heart. A musical play on the beauty and profundity of being in a state of longing, MEHROON is the story of turning the meaning of the color maroon — and of love itself — on its head.
